The new Audi TT mixes on the scene of the compact sports car. But that is Abt Sportsline was still not satisfied and already presented its even sleeker interpretation of the dynamic sports coupe. These include a very muscular body kit and a substantial increase in performance in order to significantly improve the driving experience again.


The latest edition of the Audi TT by Abt Sportsline stands in the tradition of many spectacular TT conversions for road and track, including piloted by Laurent Aiello DTM champion race car Abt TT-R from 2002. No less spectacular were derived thereof Street versions TT Limited, TT Limited and Limited Breitbau II from which, due to their small numbers real collector potential. Naturally, Abt Sportsline also for the new TT-generation of attractive performance and styling packages.

With a particularly masculine front skirt tuner gives much more angular face of the third generation Audi TT an even more dramatic touch. Specially designed mirror caps and black alloy wheels type "DR" in 20 inch dominate the side view. Alternatively, there are other attractive designs, finishes and sizes to choose from.


As a highlight proves the revised rear end. During the production version rather elegant tones sings with the retractable spoiler and the "hunchback" Abt Sportsline sat on a fixed wing. The car looks much more aggressive by this measure. A rear apron with two additional side windshields, which emphasize the width of the sport coupe on, and a striking 4-pipe rear muffler complete this impression.


A "Abt Power" - performance improvement based on the 2.0 TFSI gives the new Audi TT on strong 310 hp and 440 Nm of maximum torque (series 230 hp and 370 Nm). The new performance data shared Sportline not with. By comparison, in the series of the Audi TT 2.0 TFSI sprints in conjunction with the 6-speed S-Tronic (double clutch transmission) in just 5.3 seconds from 0 to 100 km The upcoming Audi TTS with 310 hp and 380 Nm, ergo similar data to the new Audi Abt TT, requires only 4.6 seconds for the sprint.


Only the right gear is the higher engine power pure pleasure. Here Abt Sportsline brings his entire racing experience on the road and developed for the new Audi TT 2015 an appropriate sports suspension.

3-Series sales increased 37%, however, and in combination with its 4-Series offshoot actually outsold the C-Class (figures for which include the coupe) by 168 units.

Acorss the luxury car spectrum there were few significant year-over-year gains. Cars which werent on sale a year ago – TLX and A3, for example – obviously added sales. 

But significant declines were reported by the Acura ILX, Audi A5 and A7, BMW 5-Series, Cadillac XTS, Infiniti Q60, Lincoln MKS and MKZ, Mercedes-Benz B-Class and E-Class, and the whole Volvo car lineup. 

Big gains from big players elevated the small/entry field, however, as it became abundantly clear that Canadians want what other Canadians have historically wanted.

The Ford F-Series, Chevrolet Silverado, and Ram P/U - Americas three top sellers - all outpaced the industrys rate of expansion. Indeed, all of Americas seven top-selling vehicles posted improvements superior to that of the overall industry.

Compared with January of last year, the Volkswagen Jetta, Kia Optima, Toyota Highlander, and Chevrolet Impala were knocked off. In their place, youll find the Subaru Outback, Jeep Wrangler, Honda Pilot, and Nissan Sentra.

Weve already published January 2015 lists for the 20 best-selling cars, 20 best-selling SUVs and crossovers, and complete figures for every pickup truck, links to which youll find at the bottom of this post. Throwing all those vehicles into one group results in this list of the 30 best-selling vehicles overall. We end up with five pickup trucks, 13 cars, 11 utility vehicles, and one Subaru Outback.
